I have started a new topic: interviews with producers. At first I asked GHK Airsoft.

 

1. When did you start to design airsoft guns?

A: 2008.

 

2. How many men work at your company?

A: 13, plus a lucky pet.

 

3. Where are your company?

A: Taoyuan City, Taiwan

 

4. Where do you place your company in the market?

A: Our aim is to provide user excellent experience of gunfight.

 

5. What do you think about your company?

A: Making durable, good quality, high performance GBB and provide good service to user.

 

6. What is your favorite product?

A: G5. It is the first gun that we create without any frame and existing limitation, thus we could consider the performance as first place.

 

7. What was your first item? It was a parts or a gun?

A: AKS74U (ver1.0, produced in 2008, AEG conversion), which is discontinued.

 

8. What was your biggest success and your biggest fail?

A: We do encountered many failures in Pioneering stage, such as lack of funds and experience. The teammate of development slept 3 hours a day (including the boss), thinking and testing how to improve the product. During that time was really hard and frustrated. Anyway, the biggest successful is to see the positive affirmation from users all over the world.

 

9. How many guns did you produce? What is your highest serial number (AKs, PDWs, M4s)?

A: Now we have AK series, M4, and G5; you can refer to our official website: ghkairsoft.com

 

10. Will you produce the PDW again with higher price?

A: Nope. GHK already have G5, which can be seen as the final improved version. It is not difficult to find the design of the internal structure is similar between G5 and PDW.

 

11. What was your biggest challenge?

A: Absolutely the issue of authorization. GHK used to have lots of projects, some of them is already complete; the only problem is the authorization that comes from the model appearance and engraving, making us unable to have further production.

 

12. Currently do you use RS-parts on your gun or will you use them?

A: Nope.

 

13. Will you produce other type of your product in the future - for example more M4 variants?

A: Of couse, AK and M4 series will have more extended types. For example, RPK GBBR is estimated to release in 2015 October/November.

 

14. Do you have a plan to design a new gun? Which one will be is?

A: GHK will not stop developing new models of gun. Continuous testing and improvement is necessary (considering a variety of variables), which needs a long period of time; taking half of year or a whole year is very common in process. The new model will be released before Christmas, please kindly wait. 

 

15. Will you sell your guns as a DIY kit? (like the G&P's WOK set or your M4 barbone kit)

A: ---

 

16. The hungarians and the other player of this world really like our AMD-65 which is a variant of AK. Will you produce it?

A: We have project and cooperation with Hephaestus of AMD65. The news is predict to release in the end of 2015.
